Your Trusted Community Bank Since 1930
Chambers Bank was founded in 1930 as Danville State Bank by Judge John Ed Chambers, the grandfather of our current CEO and Chairman, John Ed Chambers III. The newly-established Bank replaced Yell County Bank as the area’s only financial institution after it failed during the Great Depression.
Over the decades, Chambers Bank has grown from a single small-town branch into one of Arkansas’s most trusted community banks. In 1980, the Chambers family chartered Scott County Bank in Waldron, and during the 1990s, Chambers Bancshares, Inc.—the Bank’s holding company—acquired ownership in several community banks across the state.
Today, Chambers Bank remains a family-owned institution with over $1.4 billion in total assets and 24 branches serving communities in Arkansas and Texas. Led by CEO/Chairman John Ed Chambers III, Senior EVP J.R. Meeks, and President Mike Donnell, our dedicated team of community bankers continues to grow our footprint while providing exceptional service and personalized financial solutions.
